Jordan Demetrius Lloyd is a dance artist based in Brooklyn, NY. Originally from Albany, NY, he is a 2025 graduate of the DAS Choreography masters program in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and received a BFA from The College at Brockport. He has collaborated with and performed for Beth Gill, Netta Yerushalmy, Jonathan Gonzalez, Tere O’Connor, David Dorfman Dance, Monica Bill Barnes, Donna Uchizono, Catherine Galasso, Ambika Raina, Tammy Carrasco, Joanna Kotze, and Wendell Gray II.
His teaching practice has brought him to The American Dance Festival, Montclair State University, Movement Research, Rutgers University, New York University, University of the Arts, Sarah Lawrence College, Pageant and Mark Morris Dance Center. His work has been produced by: Danspace Project, New York Live Arts, BRIC, ISSUE Project Room, LaMama Experimental Theater, BAAD!, Movement Research at Judson Memorial Church and The Center for Performance Research.
He received the 2021-23 Jerome Hill Artist Fellowship, was selected as a 2019 Center for Performance Research Artist in Residence, and was a 2019-21 New York Live Arts Fresh Tracks Performance & Residency Program recipient. Most recently, he was listed on Dance Magazine’s 2023 ‘25 to Watch’ list, and was nominated for two NY Dance & Performance Bessie Awards.
